Tharrson 19:25, 11 October 2008 (EDT) - Discussion prior to and at the ATypI SIG meeting in Spb suggested that there needs to be an easier alternative way to upgrade site licenses for large licensees (So that after a license upgrade the fonts throughout the licensee organization will show the new EEULAA information without having to either redistribute the font throughout the organization or find and update each font copy in the organization.). The favored method was that the EEULAA OpenType table be made exportable from the font and that for such large licensees the EEULAA (as a separate file) be available at a remote server (presumably the vendor's). The remote EEULAA would be updated by the vendor when a font license upgrade is purchased. When the EEULAA table in one of the licensed fonts was accessed it would go to the remote EEULAA to collect the details and would replace any data in the local EEULAA fields with new data from the remote EEULAA.

For this to work there needs to be a field for the remote EEULAA URL in the EEULAA and the DLL needs to have the capability to retrieve the EEULAA information from this URL.
